Polyurethane coatings with amphiphilic surfaces for anti-icing - Available Technologies - NDSU Research Foundation

Polyurethane coatings with amphiphilic surfaces for anti-icing

DESCRIPTION
This invention relates to a siloxane-polyurethane coating enhanced with poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and optionally non-reactive silicone. The resulting coating exhibits low ice adhesion while maintaining toughness, strength, and excellent adhesion to various substrates. These properties make it suitable for applications requiring durable, ice-resistant surfaces.
